Estimator

The role of the Estimator is to collect, organize and analyze critical technical data from project stakeholders for the creation of custom commercial casework, millwork (and/or) fixture estimates.

Job Shift First

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with software technologies to prepare takeoffs, write bid proposals, complete pricing spreadsheets, and create visual aids to illustrate the scope of work included in an estimate.
  • Assist in the creation of preliminary budgets, conceptual and detail estimates for projects of varying size and complexity.
  • Provide project stakeholders with prompt and professional communication.
  • Secure pricing from material vendors/suppliers.
  • Resolve inaccuracies and discrepancies with information provided to complete the estimate.
  • Review addenda, amendments to construction documents and update pricing accordingly.
  • Organize, track and communicate changes to all project stakeholders.
  • Prioritize and manage workload effectively to meet critical deadlines.
  • Preview and qualify potential projects to accept or decline bid requests.
  • Work with internal and external customers to identify potential cost-saving options.
  • Participate in design progress meetings and client presentations.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Motivated to work independently.
  • Comprehension of construction plans, documents, and specifications.
  • Capability to research and self-teach new skills as they relate to the job.

Shipping Clerk

Dadson is a Retail and Commercial Casework manufacturer that specializes in designing, engineering, fabricating, fulfilling, and installing retail environments, kiosks, and merchandising displays that meet our end user’s needs. F.C. Dadson is looking to hire confident, self-driven individuals that work well in a team environment and on individual projects. We are a mid-sized, family-owned company that values its people and the culture we’ve grown.

The Shipping Clerk position verifies and keeps records on outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards.

Salary Range $17.00 - $18.50 Hourly

Essential Functions

  • Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials and finished goods throughout the facility.
  • Use scanning equipment and computer systems to verify order completeness and generate shipping documents.
  • Operate PB crimp tools and stretch wrap banders to properly package shipments.
  • Package and palletize finished goods to prepare for transport.
  • Load trucks and supervise outsourced loading labor when needed.
  • Assist the Shipping Lead in maintaining an adequate inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
  • Make pickups and deliveries to customers, suppliers, and vendors using company vehicles.
  • Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
  • Maintain work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly manner while following safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • A background in warehousing is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and critical thinking skills.
  • Motivated to work independently.
